Last night we trekked all the way over to Logan Square to celebrate a friend's birthday at Weegee's.  It's a cool bar——they have Old Overholt and a vintage photobooth——but I wish it were closer.  Why can't there be bars like this in Uptown or Lincoln Square?  The north side is cursed with Irish pubs.

When we came home I made muesli, which I've been meaning to do for about a week now. It's incredible how little you can get done with so much free time.

The recipe is very basic. Combine 6 cups rolled oats + 1 cup sliced almonds + 1 cup sunflower kernels + 1 cup flaked coconut. Melt together 3/4 cup honey + 1/4 cup olive oil, pour over oat mixture, and stir well. Spread on a baking sheet and bake at 300 for about 30 minutes.
